Sixth Doctor: The Two Doctors by fourth-heir Sixth Doctor: The Two Doctors by fourth-heir
With all this snow around it seemed the ideal time to relive the sixth Doctor's trip to hot and sunny Spain in "The Two Doctors" :)

It's a regular sixth Doctor figure with the coat and waistcoat removed and the arms swapped for those from the eleventh's "crash" figure. The new waistcoat and shirt are sculpted over the blank torso with modelling putty (which was also used to fill in the raggedy holes on the shirt sleeves) :)

It may feature the dodgiest looking Sontarans in the history of the series but it is indeed a great fun tale :)

What kind of paint do you use? All I have at home is acrylic paint and that gets worn out quite quickly.

I wish they used this look more often. It was *slightly* less ridiculous then his normal outfit and actually makes him look attractive.

I agree completely. I actually like the coat but he looks much better with the open collar.

I love the coat too. But this look is so much better.

I suspect it was just thrown together because his usual outfit was too hot for the location filming in Spain but I have often wondered if the waistcoat was made special or whether somebody in the wardrobe department just happened to find such a garish garment amongst the props :)

Its specially made cause there are two of them. There is a Doctor who props site somewhere that explains that the heat was the reason.

Very cool figure. I think I preferred his look in that story to any other of his. I don't know why. He reminds me a bit more of heroic swashbuckler types in that look compared to his long coat. How did you make it?

It's a regular sixth Doctor figure with the soft coat and waistcoat removed and the arms swapped for those from the eleventh's "crash" figure. The new waistcoat and shirt are sculpted over the blank torso with modelling putty (which was also used to fill in the raggedy holes on the shirt sleeves) :)

Heroic swashbuckler is the kind of look I've been going for with my (still in development) "own incarnation" Doctor costume - expect a photo one day ;)

Thanks for faving! :D
